Friends of the Institute
FRIENDS OF THE INSTITUTE was
established by the board of
the C. G. Jung Institute of
San Francisco to provide a
program for anyone
interested in Jungian
psychological, spiritual,
aesthetic and social
perspectives. Our gatherings
provide a container for
explorations of themes which
can be discussed in serious
as well as pleasurable ways.
Friends programs provide thoughtful presentations with time for socializing and discussion. Programs and lectures are announced in the quarterly Rhizome. Members may bring a guest to most events. And in December we host an annual Solstice Gathering in a private home.
In addition to special
presentations, Friends
continues to support ongoing
reading groups in four
communities – San Francisco,
Marin County, the peninsula
and the East Bay. These
groups meet monthly for
discussion of a wide variety
of literature, from Jung to
alchemy, philosophy, poetry
and more. Selections are
chosen by each group,
depending on their area of
interest.
